This hidden gem in the Eastern Cape offers a perfect retreat in the bush with breathtaking views of a beautiful dam. the attention to detail is impeccable, from fluffy gowns to beautifully decorated rooms with fully equipped kitchens. the communal braai is a great social spot for storytelling. Guests can relish the bird sounds while sipping coffee on the deck. the boat house is ideal for groups who want to enjoy the serene surroundings.

The hotel could improve by having more signage boards to make it easier to navigate the area.

We loved the secluded and peaceful atmosphere of the hotel. The rooms were impeccably clean and well-equipped, with comfortable beds and luxurious bathrooms. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always available to assist us. The location was perfect, overlooking a beautiful dam, and the hotel facilities were fantastic, including a communal braai pit and fully equipped kitchen.

Nothing, no complaints at all.

We spent our Xmas break in a cabin in the middle of the bush. The best aspects were that we were surrounded by animals and we had total privacy. It was also great that we could cook our own meals in the communal kitchen. The staff were really friendly and helped us throughout our stay. Plus, the cabin was really comfortable and cozy.

The worst aspects were that the place was infested with bugs, making it impossible to have a good night's sleep. the road to get there was very rough, and we had a hard time finding the place.

The location of the cottages is truly breathtaking, overlooking a body of water in a peaceful valley. the cottages themselves are well-appointed, with a huge decked BBQ area and a fully equipped communal kitchen for any catering needs. We also enjoyed the large fire pit in the boma area, perfect for relaxing under the starlit sky.

The lack of air conditioning or fans in the rooms made for uncomfortable sleeping conditions in hot weather. there were insects in the room that made it difficult to leave windows open for fresh air.

I had an amazing stay at this luxurious hotel by the river. The location was absolutely stunning, secluded and surrounded by nature. The cottages were beautifully appointed and offered great privacy, with a large decked BBQ area where I enjoyed delicious meals. The communal 'Boat House' was fully equipped for all my catering needs, and the large fire pit in the boma area was perfect for cozy evenings by the fire. The thoughtful staff made sure every detail was taken care of, from a comfortable bed to a well-stocked kitchen. I truly felt like royalty here.

This hotel is a hidden gem that I highly recommend to everyone.
